Lugers in movies

In one of the "Nick Carter" books I read, one of his capturers taunted Nick that a rifle man was always faster than a pistol dude! Nick challenged him to a duel of sorts, an assemble of a Luger vs a Rifle with the end of the assembly to see which could get his shot off first. I can't remember which rifle it was, but Nick's Luger which he affectionately calls "Wilhemina" was the Luger. Upon getting the "go" signal both contestants started putting there weapon together, and it looked pretty good for the rifleman until ol Nick put a round into the upper cannon of Wilhemina and killed the rifle man with the cannon! Maybe not real life stuff, but a good entertaining sequence IMO! Thor
