Davis' book "Luger Catalog" says the receiver of 1920 commerical should be numbered. I've looked a few dismantled guns on auction sites, also one in my hand, I did not see any number on the receiver.

Not sure Davis was totally wrong on DWM 1920, or there are sub-variations having numbered receiver. Or, misprint.
