A Swiss A/C Carrier; that's a surprise. Hopefully the Bordensee has some upwind stretches 30nm long or more for flight ops and the same for recovery of fixed winged aircraft. If similar to the US Navy, pistols are only carried in port by the Officer of the Deck and perhaps the shore patrol. A long range rifle (or better yet a missle) is much more useful to pick off unwelcome "visitors" before they approach too close. TH
