Default proof mark whiting

I have been asked to touch the whiting on a unit mark for Don M. and his book effort, I know that there is a product for doing this, just never before paid much attention to it, so to help Don in his book effort I want to touch up a grip marking, what do I need to do this.....thanks....oh would common chalk dust work......

Howard,

Chalk might work well enough. Even a white crayola crayon might. The product is "Lacquer Stick" from Brownell's.

BTW...anyone every try "Liquid Paper"...?...just curious to know the result and how easy it is to remove. Does the solvent in LP affect blue finish ?
