This is not a 1916 Navy; maybe early post war gun made up from parts and stamped with horizontal C/N. The problem is your going to have a hard time proving it.

The frame doesnâ??t appear to match the upper receiver, notice the over lap. No 1916 on left side of receiver and I donâ??t think the barrel is of the right configuration, looks like a low profile sight but not sure from angle of photo.

Itâ??s a pity the frame and receiver doesnâ??t match, might make a good shooter.
