Default Modified Recoil Spring

Hi:

Yes, it looks like the recoil spring has been shortened or otherwise modified by some "expert". Recoil wear on the frame looks normal for a Luger that has been shot some.

Hi everybody

New (mauser) spring, toggle link, coupling link and breechblock is ordered from Tom Heller. I will let you know the result of the repair as soon as I get the stuff.
The first thing I will do is the "paper test" recomended by G. van Vlimmeren

Default Forward toggle link

Thanks to Tom Heller the Luger is back on track with a new toggle Link and Mauser spring. Works fine and I tested the toggle links movement with both a piece of masking tape and by painting inside the back of the frame.

Thank you all for your help and advice. I´m impressed by the enthusiasm I noticed among Luger fans.

i´ll propobly will get myself another one with all the numbers matching and so on. From collectors point of wiew I dont know what is to recomend but I have started by buying a couple of books about luger.

Good to hear that it worked out well for you Kaj! Looks like it became a nice shooter.
Perhaps in the future, there will be enough Luger collectors located in or around Scandinavia to arrange a little 'get together'.

Hi:

I'm happy your Luger is now shooting.

Something I just noticed is the front sight. The Finns rebuilt their Lugers with front sights very similar to this one. Could your's be a Finn rebuild?

Hi Sieger

Could be so. The "original" 7,65 barrel has a T ingraved.
I am told this would be Tikkakoski
