Default 7,65 mm Barrel Blank

I picked up a Luger that started life as a 1936 S/42 military P08. At some point the original barrel was replaced with a 2 inch long, 3/4 inch diameter barrel. The stock lug has been removed but if you didn't know there should be one you would not notice it missing. The grips were replaced by ones made from lexan. The left grip panel has a real nice winged Harley-Davidson logo and the right grip panel has a interesting picture of Barbi Benton. These are inside the grip. The grips fit exceptionally well. Does anyone collect odd Luger stuff?

I thought this would be a great project pistol to turn into a 7,65 mm Parabellum squirrel/rabbit pistol. I need to find a source of a barrel blank that meets the orginial bore dimensions for 7,65 mm Parabellum (groove diameter = 7,90 mm +0.01/-0.03 (.31102" +.00039/-.00118); land diameter = 7,65 mm +0.01/-0.03 (.30118" +.00039/-.00118)). Anyone know a source?

Constructed a Pro/E model of the barrel. Got use of a CNC machine to make the barrel. Just need a barrel blank now!

If you're not particular. You can use a cutdown .30 cal rifle barrel. I saw a .30 Luger which had been rebarreled with a secton of 1903 Springfield barrel. The owner said that it shot great.

.30 Luger barrels also come up on eBay and the gun auctions fairly regularly.

Here's one with 9 hours left.
