Do we have any Walther people part of the Luger forum? I had a Walther PP brought to me by an eldery gentleman in a plastic bag in pieces. Got it back together until I got to the hammer block. It is like nothing I've seen beore. It does not have a place machined for a hammed block spring and pin. The hammer block has a slot machined on the side for what I presume is a spring retension of some kind. Of course there was not anything resembling this in the group of parts.
Anybody familar with the earlier Walthers that would have a break down of this and possibly a needed part? Thanks. Neil |

Sounds like you have an early PP that uses a C-shaped spring to operate the hammer block. I have a PPK like that in the 766,xxx range. Can you give the serial range for yours? Also does the hammer have the groove for the loaded chamber indicator? One or two piece firing pin?

The Walther has a one pc firing pin and is in the 706XXX range. It sounds as if the C spring you mentioned would be the pc that is missing. Any idea where I could find one?
Thanks, Neil |

Neil,
I have an early PP where the "C" spring was missing and I bought mine from Tom, and it works! One thing I would like to mention. I took my pistol to a local gunsmith and a copy of the information about the "C" spring and he said it was not correct! Anyway, be careful if you have anyone look at it and unless they know about this spring they will be confused. It soulds like you have the ability to install it yourself; it is not difficult.
