I would say that�´the opposite would be nicest for the gun.

let me explain


What you need for the gun to cycle is recoil, not gaspreasure but recoil.

And the bigest recoil you get with the heavyest bullet.

With a heavy bullet you can lower the loading charge and still maintain fairly "high" recoil.

With a lighter bullet you need the increase the load and thus the gaspreasure to archive the same recoil energy.
