The Blue Book is a good reference, but the values, at least for military guns are not accurate, especially the values listed for lower condition guns.
I just bought an S/42 1936 dated Luger. According to my 2004 Blue Book, its worth approximately $480. I paid much more than that of course.
If someone can tell me where to find original Lugers for less than $500, I'll take out a loan at the bank and buy as many as I can.
