9x17 Luger

Thanks for your response, I'm using the guides in here to help identify the year, make, caliber. I'm almost positive it is a 7.65mm. the gunsmith is a "good old boy" and not very informed in this area. I'm just glad I did a little more checking before I used the wrong ammo and hurt myself and the gun. It is German manufacture, it has the 'kyb' markings, I just haven't had time to identify the remaining symbols. Will let you know. Thanks again.
