I had a chance to buy a 1902 carbine last summer at the Ohio Gun Collectors show. The guy wanted $8000 but I had just bought a gun and only had $5000 on me. I went back to his table later but he had closed his table early and left. I had my motorhome with me an could have stayed another day and maybe caught him again, but didn't. I should have made an offer because the guy later accepted $4,000. The gun wasn't bad but not so good either but the wood stocks were teriffic. Oh well, woulda shoulda coulda. Another tale in the big city.
