I thought ya'll might like to know that the new crew is working out fine. Here are a couple of "before & after" examples of their work. Although not Luger grips, we do all kinds!

Frank,
Hugh is no doubt "overseeing" the work first hand. Apprentices do need hands on experience. Nice work Hugh...

Damn Hugh! That's just plain amazing.
Of course, that does lead one to question.... Your new crew? Did they look like that when you got 'em, or have you worked on them too?

Hugh
Nicely done! Are you using automated tools or teaching the old fashion way? Are any of your crew proficient at borderless checkering? In any case great work, it takes much patients to restore an old set of grips, I am impressed. Vern |

Hey Hugh, I will soon have a set of Mauser Grips that probably need pointing up! If the blonde will do it, I'll send you 55 bucks and the grips!! But you have to tell me that the blonde will handle me, err the grips, with care!!

LugerVern,
All my checkering is done the old fashioned way--by hand. By "borderless" checkering, do you mean like this? ![]() ![]()
