Default Ebay removing auctions

I think my ebay-days are over.. as several of my auctions was removed with the following reason;

'The listing was removed because it violated the eBay Firearms, Weapons, and Knives policy. All fees related to this listing have been credited to your account. We also notified members who placed bids on the item that the listing has
been canceled. The sale of weapons is highly regulated by the government, and these items can harm the eBay Community. For these reasons, eBay restricts the sale of weapons to a very few types, and these sales can take place only under very specific conditions.'

Auctions removed where these items;

How can these auctions be illegal?

well.. I'm not siting on a huge pile of parts, so it's not much to be jalous about. Didn't think it was possible for a regular user to do so.
To prove the tactic wrong, I will relist them + 6 more

I was surprised to read they'd stopped your auctions. After reading your post earlier this morning I also visited ebay and saw a number of similar items by other sellers. I remember seeing your writeups and didn't see anything wrong with them. Good luck on your relistings. Brent B.

Who knows,they pulled a auction I had for a empty shotshell box and I made sure and included the fact that it was empty in the discription.

Steinar et al, Trade me your unneeded luger parts for something that you can use, and avoid the ebay hassel. TH

Thanks for the offer Tom. I'm sure I would need more Luger related items in the future, dealing with you has always been a pleasure
I won't list more items for now, and have the rest for trade/internal sales later on.

not too long ago i seen a complete MAS 49/56 being sold on ebay,that auction made it 6 days out of 7, a COMPLETE semi auto military rifle,and they yank those parts?i watched the auction from day one,just to see how long it made it

i too have had some auctions pulled that were not in violation of the rules as laid out,and i simply relisted them and had no problems

sometimes i think its competitors trying to iliminate the competition and ebay doesnt even look at the auction before pulling the plug,because in my case the other sellers auction was now about ready to end,and he had the same items i was selling,but his auction went the distance,these were for antique rifle parts

Steiner, I have had items removed for either not saying it was less than 10 rounds for a magazine, I have had items removed for violating "copyright" (A microsoft product, and like others said, there were a hundred like items).

I think ebay "watchers", paid people zap some things because they can, but also, like Pat said, someone "complained", I think it was because of a ebay member.

Just post again... It is probably why you see folks put these huge banners, NOTHING HERE IS ILLEGAL OR AGAINST POLICY....

I noticed that other eBay auctions with only one (1) luger part at a time is allowed.

Maybe eBay is just trying to get more listing fees for each indiviual item listed and is not warmly receptive to a listing that might contain 4-6 items of luger parts that they only make 1 listing fee on...???

It's strange.. and I weakness in Ebay that such things can happen. Ebay is probably having enough income to cover better and put more into quality service for the sellers as well. The way I see it, it's not the sellers job to inform that harmless things such as springs, bolts and pins are not against law or policy. Nor is it other members job to remove listings..
I'm too about this, is just something on my mind Obviously others have had the same problem. The reason for sellig in lots, is that it would be 'impossible' to have free shipping as a little bonus if not.. Didn't think Ebay would have a problem with that, but could be.

Who knows? I think they watch german militaria and gun items closer, that and when non-gun folks see anything that is gun related they get weird.

Ebay has no clue that the seller is where they get their money. If there was another forum to sell my items, I would. It simply comes down to the fact that I can get more for my money by selling on ebay than anywhere else.

I did an ebay search for Argentine Mauser. You would be surprised at the number of interesting items a person in Argentina has for sale! Some of them are very nice looking scarce items that I do not have the money to buy.

Not all firearm items seem to be caught by the ebay police.

This is the reply I got from my little complaint to Ebay;

Dear Steinar,

in regards to your specific listings, firearm parts must
only have domestic shipping within the United States. Other countries
have very strict guidelines what is able to be imported into their
countries in regards to weapons so as to not get our sellers in any
trouble, we ask that they only offer domestic shipping within the United
States for these firearm parts.

This is why the listing was ended since international shipping was an
option. You are more than welcome to relist the auctions but please
simply adjust the shipping option.

For information on eBay's policies regarding firearms, weapons and
knives, please view:

http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/...ns-knives.html

If you need further assistance, Steinar, please don't hesitate to reply
to this email and let me know.

Sincerely,
XX XX
eBay Customer Support

Since I live in Europe, domestic shipping within the United States of harmless bolt, pins and springs would not make much sense to me. No country I know of would consider these parts as restricted..

Hi Steinar,

Perhaps gun related auction sites like egun.de, gunbroker or auctionarms are a better choice. I suppose they see no harm in the listing of gun parts

Another item I found strange are the coins I have seen. They are Nazi era coins, all plastered with Swastikas and such. I understood those to be "offensive" and therefore not sellable on Ebay. Also, I almost got a deactivated '34 Mauser. A day before the auction ended, it got pulled.
