1917 Navy
Saw a small collection for sale today at the Denver Gun Show; in the collection was a reblue Simson, a nice police commercial and others. One that I looked at pretty close was a 1917 navy, had marine marks on the left and a 4 inch barrel with nazi acceptance markings. An interesting thing was that it still had its navy rear sight on it!
It was in nice shape and they wanted $2850 for it. Ed |

Ed,
Some Weimar reworked Navy's retained the original Navy rear sight. Not common, but are known. The price was, IMO, a bit steep, but what do I know? Ron

Eddy,
was the front of the barrel hacked off or was it rebarreled? Did it have a navy front sight or a P-08 front sight? Denver huh. I guess that your no longer snowed in. Ron's right, that is a steep price. But what do I know. I'm famous more or my good looks than for anything else. Hey Ron, does that German at the bottom of you post mean that you have found an Imperial or Reich era cork for your lunch container? Big Norm |
