We would need a little more info, such as the number over the chamber. 41 or 42??? Does it have a byf on the toggle???

Thomas, I believe your Luger is a 41 byf! It is my opinion the Mauser began using Black Bakelite Grips about July 1941. Your pistol was completed about December 1941, about 6 months later. Mauser completed the Military Contract about August 1942. So give or take a month or two, your pistol is a middle bird.
