The oil bottle with the leather sleeve shown at the beginning of the post will sometimes be found as an extra item in a cased Borchardt or cased M1900 Luger pistol. It was not actually an oil bottle supplied by Loewe or DWM, but it could be considered from the same period. Collectors like to expand their sets with various accessories from the same period.

There was also a German grease tin (in a leather sleeve) which can sometimes be found in cased Borchardts or cased M1900 Luger pistols. Such a grease tin is shown on page 51 of the book 'Luger: The Multinational Pistol'.

Pete, a great set of oilers, some of which I have in my collection. I like the oval oiler with the weave pattern. I skipped one on eBay because it had a small dent, but I shall eventually find one on eBay. You beat me on eBay for one of these oilers - I might have kill you (with a DWM 471 bullet)!!

If you are searching for an oil bottle for your display, consider a glass bottle of 3-in-1 oil which was very popular with hunters during the early 1900's. 3-in-l oil was sold as gun oil by famous retailers such as A&F, and I have a sealed bottle of such oil for my Luger Carbine display.

Good luck,
Albert
