Surname looks to me like 'Bertrich'.
First name looks like 'Bar', not a German name or abbreviation I've ever heard of..... |

Hi,
If the first part is 'Bad', it's more likely the name of a location. |

The low grip position usually indicates an inexperienced shooter. First time shooters often hold a pistol in this manner.

Thanks for input!
Looks like it might be a location instead of a name. Thats interesting.. I searched in Google Earth, and found Bar Bertrich. Looks like a nice little town with fields, river and forest, just like on the picture ![]()

Now you need to find which field, and try to dig out the bullets from the tree he fired at

![]() ![]() This is just the beginning! I will also find the empty case and the now 100 year old L«utnant (if alive), reload the case and take him out to shoot his Luger once again! With a more firm grip ![]() He probably missed the tree back then..
