introduction
Hello, This is just to introduce myself to the list. I am shopping for a Luger. I had one back in the 1960's. That was a 7.65 DWM with mismatched numbers on everything. It got traded off in a long line of trades looking for a good automatic pistol. Having now been through Brownings, Colts, a P38 Walther, an Astra (this had a charming habit of going full auto)I am sadder but wiser.
Having lived and learned I am back in the market for a Luger. My grandfather said he actually carried one in WWI. He started off in the German Navy but ended up in the trenches. I do not know at what point he had the pistol. I will now go back to quitely listening and learning. You are a very informative group. kind regards, heinz |
