No, these small oil cans which you mention were not accessories issued by DWM because they were made in the US. However, some American retailers in the early 1900's did include them with Lugers which were sold with cases. As Ron correctly stated they were originally sewing machine cans which were also purchased by sportsmen such as hunters and fishermen. They were very practical and handy to have at that time. I do have a few in my collection and they are nice accessories for displays/sets.
