Hi, the correct holster for an East German Luger looks much the same as a soft shell P38 but has an enclosed flap for the butt area. The holsters were made to hold either a P.38 or Luger and have tool pouch sewed in side/ Some look like a pebble grain and some have an oval stamp on back with maker mark and 1951 stamped inside. I just purchased one from Tom Heller a few months back. I will dig around and see if I can find an info sheet that appeared in the American Rifleman in the early 60's which dealt with holsters for P.38s and showed one.
