Rod,
A 640 in .357 reqires a larger grip for recoil absorbtion. Which in turn makes it less easy to conceal. They are nasty with 158 gr loads, but controllable and not too bad with 125 gr. I still prefer the .38 Spec in a small 649 size J frame revolver. I use 125 gr + P Gold Dots. They have enough snoose to get the job done.
