Nobody is 'forced' to do anything; sending a gun for restoration is entirely voluntary, you accept the terms and conditions, or go elsewhere.

I believe that Thor marks his work as a service to us all. The authenticity and quality of his work might well allow someone to carefully age one of his restorations and resell the resulting '99% jewel' for significant money.

I applaud him for taking the initiative to prevent this, and have a degree of sorrow that, (I suspect), some of his customers believe that three small dots placed internally are intolerable.

I hope none of the less than expert members of the forum, (such as myself), part with thousands of dollars some time in the future as a result of outright deception based on the excellent quality of the work of an honest man.
