1. Audley with ammo holder - OP386 (official Police 38 6")

clockwise:

2. A145 T384

3. No numbers, just Audley trademark

4. A138 OP386

5. A132 PS4

6. Luger

7. 1911 45 - Audley Pat. and Audley Safety Holster, New York
front stamped with name and 27 Div USA

8. 1911-45 - no numbers, Audley Pat. in pen on back H.L.M. 5/31/40 -
has tiedown holder on back

9. As132 PS384

10. AP332 PP4 - Audley Pat. on back no metal trigger guard spring - has
strap to go over hammer

11. No numbers Audley Pat. has spring and hammer strap

12. A138 OP4

13. A132 PP385

Nice collection!

It has been my observation that you simply cannot put a gun in one of these without damaging the finish...a design someone did not quite think through.

Tom They were mostly used by military and police., neither of which worried about finish.They were good for this purpose since nobody else could get the gun out. I can put a luger in mine but as you said one must be careful. Bill

Default 1908 Colt

Bill,

Notwithstanding what Tom A said about damaging finishes. I think these are really nice holsters! I have one for a Colt 1903/08, and plan to add more to my stash.

I've got an Audley for two of my Colt Police Positives. They're very well made holsters...

The metal retention bit is kind of a kink in the design though, as has already been pointed out. It holds them very well but tends to scratch the finish a bit.
