Nice collection!

It has been my observation that you simply cannot put a gun in one of these without damaging the finish...a design someone did not quite think through.

Tom They were mostly used by military and police., neither of which worried about finish. They were good for this purpose since nobody else could get the gun out. I can put a luger in mine but as you said one must be careful. Bill

Bill,

Notwithstanding what Tom A said about damaging finishes. I think these are really nice holsters! I have one for a Colt 1903/08, and plan to add more to my stash.

I've got an Audley for two of my Colt Police Positives. They're very well made holsters...

The metal retention bit is kind of a kink in the design though, as has already been pointed out. It holds them very well but tends to scratch the finish a bit.

Very nice collection, Bill... :D
