The KM obtained small arms and holsters by BOTH direct purchase from the manufacturer and also by transfer from the Army. It is common to see KM holsters with both WAA and KM acceptance stamps. This occurred as a result of the manufacturer's entire production run being accepted by Heeres inspectors on site and then a portion of the run being diverted to the Navy, which would require a second acceptance inspection.
