Navy Holster

This one looks a little suspicious to me.It looks lIke it was stamped right over an existing scar/scratch. The stamp also looks a little to large and was stamped hard into the leather. The buy now has been lowered from previous $650.

The starting bid has also been reduced. It was $650 previously - the same as the old buy it now price.

Would the Kriegsmarine have obtained and acceptance-stamped a holster which already had WaffenAmt acceptance? Not a rhetorical question, I don't know the WWII procurement system.

KM Procurement

Dwight,

The KM obtained small arms and holsters by BOTH direct purchase from the manufacturer and also by transfer from the Army. It is common to see KM holsters with both WAA and KM acceptance stamps.

This occurred as a result of the manufacturer's entire production run being accepted by Heeres inspectors on site and then a portion of the run being diverted to the Navy, which would require a second acceptance inspection. Very bureaucratic.
