Sirs:
I know almost next to nothing about Luger P08's. I picked this rig up at a gun show awhile back for a shooter. I realize it has little collectors value. The fekkow I got it from said it was either a Russian or East German Police rework. It is a DWM 1917 #9594. I know the original magazines had wooden bottoms. This has aluminum WWII type bottoms which are numbered to the gun and a 1 & 2. There is a very faint marking on the side of the receiver which looks like"E.C.C.S.A. and (unable to read) N.J. The original proof marks are present but there are other marks(Nazi?) which have been stamped out with an "o" Also what is this holster? All the Luger holsters I have seen have a strap & buckle. This has the the flap with a hole and brass stud. The pistol fits the holster well. There are no markiings on the holster. The gun is in excellent condition with new wood grips and a fantastic bore. I removed the grips and there are no markings on the metal or wood. Can you give me an idea what I have? Thanks! |
