You will have to do better on the photo end, this picture is not enough. The picture itself is ok but a lot more are required in more detail. Where exactly are the striations that you are concerned about. Striations are a good thing if in the correct placement whilst milling marks raise concern if in the wrong location. I have not read Tom A's guidlines so not to sure which area of the rear site you refer to. your quote---In the frame ears there are striations, not circular marks that indicate original manufacture. In fact, I noticed these striations on my 1916 DWM, a 1917 DWM arty and this gun. So, I shall conclude that they are all refinished? Don't be to hasty on this point. |
