I always heard the .458 was an accurate cartridge. I like it, it's a little big in the bore for my tastes(developing a flinch just thinking about it). I don't hunt as much as I used to, but I use a Remington 700 ADL synthetic .30-06 with a Leupold vari-x III 4-12( scope cost $80 more than the gun). Not too fancy but a hard to beat combo. I've been collecting old milsurp bolt rifles, and have found not one that was not capable of fine accuracy. I got me a nice M38 Russian coming that I intend to use as a hunting rifle(I hope it's as nice as the E-pics show). By the way, I do also like your 1920/21 Police Luger. My old 1920 DWM shares the same Wiemer doves proofs and the same barrel proof as yours. Plus a couple of stick eagle proofs. I figure it's military issue because of it's rough condition and the extra eagle proofs.
