A metal case bullet and a full metal jacket bullet are one and the same thing. This is what the Luger was designed to shoot in the first place.

With today's commercial loads the jacket on a FMJ and a hollow point will be about the same, no difference to the barrel.

Some military surplus ammo may have a steel jacket that may or may not be a trifle harder on the barrel. (Not all steel jacket material is hard on the barrel.)

A plain lead bullet will reduce the wear on the barrel. But I know of no factory ammo loaded with plain lead.
