Hmmm..

Something is amiss as I responded to this earlier today. Maybe John D's gremlins are afoot...BTFOOM! In any event,

I purchased one about two years ago-less than mint as some moron had decided to shoot it-and IIRC, I think I paid $2100. It came all tarted up with the leather case, Walter's book, etc.

My purpose in buying it was to have a bench mark for the end of the Navy guns. I have an '04 and almost all of the guns between it and the Mauser commerative. Some were easy; others were *very hard* to track down. The few missing are relatively easy; when I have them all, the book work will begin in ernest. FWIW, I expect that to be within a year.
