Hellow Luger Friends!

Is $2,750.00 too much to pay for an unissued Interarms Navy? What would a prudent collector pay for this fine pistol?

Not if your Bill Gates. So many things depend on your collecting interests. Are you interested in investment, shooting or?

While I am not up on prices for post 1945 Lugers I would not be interested in paying that kind of money for an Interarms pistol no matter what it is. That's just me though.

For that kind of money you could have a wide range of choices of quality pre 45 collector pistols that have some actual history to their credit. A quality Artillery or even an Imperial Navy.

I must admit people seem to be willing to pay quite a bit for these post war pistols but I am not one of them. I am sure there will be some Forum members who will have some interesting opinions that might not be the same as mine. Jerry Burney

Tom Armstrong should be able to give you a fair idea what this gun is worth... I think he just bought one a little while ago.

Does the Interarms Navy come with an adjustable Navy rear sight? or is it just a Luger witha 6" barrel... considering what folks are willing to pay for a Navy Luger rear sight some might consider this price close... but I am like Jerry... it is way too much for a modern gun. I don't think the post-war guns have that much collector value yet..

Yes, it is a real "Navy" with an adjustable 100-200 meter rear sight.

Collector value? Well, these "new Lugers" have also increased in price lately.

Frankly, I shoot all of my Lugers and will really enjoy shooting this one too.

I think $2700 is the dealer going rate. You don't see may of these, there were only 250 made. I paid $2000 for mine, but that was a couple of years ago. I have three commemerative Luger and maybe someday I'll have one of each.

Something is amiss as I responded to this earlier today. Maybe John D's gremlins are afoot...BTFOOM! In any event,

I purchased one about two years ago-less than mint as some moron had decided to shoot it-and IIRC, I think I paid $2100. It came all tarted up with the leather case, Walter's book, etc.

My purpose in buying it was to have a bench mark for the end of the Navy guns. I have an '04 and almost all of the guns between it and the Mauser commerative. Some were easy; others were *very hard* to track down. The few missing are relatively easy; when I have them all, the book work will begin in ernest. FWIW, I expect that to be within a year.
