The 1936 date on your receiver and the Imperial Naval proofing certainly don't belong together. I suspect that one or the other is bogus. If Mauser had reworked the Naval receiver for use in 1936, they certainly would have removed the previous proofing. I once had a 1939 like this which was strickly Waffenfabrik USA.
