John, I believe the SMS Kormoran was an Imperial auxilliary cruiser in the first war. It operated in your part of the world but never took any prizes or sank anything. It was interned in American Samoa in 14 or 15 and then scuttled by the crew in 17 when the US entered the war.

LP08s were used by the German Navy during the second war, I have one so marked. These are really not that uncommon.
