Post My first Luger Pistol

I just got an S/42 "G" code with serial number 8452 b. All matching numbers and all original but for the magazine which is apparently late production and has the plastic base. So what do I have here? And what is the proper magazine?

Thanks
Greg

Thanks, Frank. Nice forum y'all got here.

I am also curious re a "ball park value" of this pistol. It's all original and matching but for the magazine. 50% original bluing, excellent mechanical condition, and excellent bore. No, I don't plan on selling any time soon but i'd like to know roughly what it's worth.

Hello Greg,

Roughly with the information you have given it sounds like an expensive shooter. My guess at a price would be about $800. Pictures would really be nice.

Regards,

The G is the code for 1935; K was 1934 production.
