My first Luger Pistol
I just got an S/42 "G" code with serial number 8452 b. All matching numbers and all original but for the magazine which is apparently late production and has the plastic base. So what do I have here? And what is the proper magazine?
Thanks Greg http://forums.lugerforum.com/lfuploa...ger1_copy1.jpg http://forums.lugerforum.com/lfuploa...uger_copy1.jpg |
Hi Greg, I answered this question for you on the P.38 Forum!
Welcome to the Luger Forum!! :) |
Thanks, Frank. Nice forum y'all got here.
I am also curious re a "ball park value" of this pistol. It's all original and matching but for the magazine. 50% original bluing, excellent mechanical condition, and excellent bore. No, I don't plan on selling any time soon but i'd like to know roughly what it's worth. Greg |
Hello Greg,
Roughly with the information you have given it sounds like an expensive shooter. My guess at a price would be about $800. Pictures would really be nice. Regards, |
Pics finally uploaded....finally!!!

What does that "G" stand for?
|
Good luck with your Luger btw. And welcome to the forum :)

The G is the code for 1935; K was 1934 production.
