Hello, maybe i dont know too many things about the pistol. Would you explain me the findings found? It is posible to figure out the owner ? What do you valorate in your assesment in order to fix and value ?

It's not a military pistol, but was made for the private/commercial market well before WWI.

Its 6" barrel is somewhat out of the ordinary, but not particularly uncommon.

It is essentially impossible to determine anything about its previous owners beyond your story.

Its value depends in large part on its condition and originality, both of which appear very good. $2k, more or less, would be a reasonable ballpark for what it might fetch when sold, but it also would depend on the exact price agreed to by both buyer and seller.

I recommend that if you truly have interest in Luger pistols you should do lots of reading of the available info here on the forum. World class collectors and authors are members. One consolidated source for info is the FAQ linked ta the top of every page.
