Just for the information of those on the forum, if you look at a bid on Auction Arms that has a reserve and you see the bidder listed as (***HIDDEN***), it means that the reserve price has not been reached at that point. No bidder will be identified on a reserve auction until the reserve price has been reached or exceeded.
I know this because I wrote directly to Auction Arms and inquired. Their reasoning is that items with a reserve price were being offered to the highest bidder after the fact when the bids didn't reach the reserve. The offer was being made privately and Auction Arms was being denied their percentage of the sale. To eliminate that problem, AA shows everyone who bids as (***HIDDEN***) until the reserve is reached. |
