Obvious this is a 1939 - 42 code P.08 Military Luger
What doesn't add up are the markings. I have the Luger Handbook by Aarron Davis and according to his flow chart I have either a DWM Mauser Military (pretty sure it's not) with the correct proof marks but no DWM Mfg logo on the toggle or a Mauser 42 Code, Four Digit Date with the wrong proof marks. But, there is also a mark on the front of the frame that matches a mark on the magazine that I can't find anywhere else in the book or the internet. Looks like a capital A (italicized). Thoughts? |
