Yes, it will hurt the value if you replace a numbered part.
Should be easy to visually ID the pin and determine if it is broken. Save the original regardless of what you end up doing. Could be a failure to close completely, bad ammo or hard primers, or any number of other things. One time in how often? How do the primers on the fired cases look, vs. failure to fire, assuming that the primer is being struck at all. Will the FTF round fire if ran thru again, or in a diff. gun? dju |
