The Crown/N means it has been proved for Nitro powder , the C/N was succeeded by the Eagle/N in 1939/40.

The C/N is a civilian proof marking, military arms were marked
with an Eagle- DWM and Erfurt eagles(WWI) were slightly different, as were the later Weimar, and third Reich eagles.
