I've bought M1 carbines from the CMP, but they can keep those 1911's. Too many hoops to jump through for me.

Congrats Ed....enjoy. I thought about applying, but I have a nice 1944 Colt 1911A1, and there seemed to be a lot of hoops to jump through. Glad you persisted, and got what you wanted.
