Hello again,
Policeluger, thanks for the info. I am quite puzzled as there is no other date that the 1918 chamber date. No reworks marks. The pistol is all matching parts & finish except the safety lever that is a blued one. Could that indicate a III Reich rework? There would still be some rework proofs!The unmarked receiver is a mystery to me! I do have a 1918 dated DWM ( rework ) that sports only 2 proofmarks on the receiver. That is correct for a late WWI pistol. But this one ? I'll post some PICS of the underside of the barrel/receiver & inside of the frame ( right behind the locking bolt ). Anybody can shed some light on this mystery?? Thanks kidvett |
