Seems about 200.00 high to me as well. But, what do I know...Just picked up a S/42 1937 in about 80% for 1,000.00 even.

If there's anyone on this forum qualified to say what is the norm, it's me, Norm. That said, I think you did just fine. Your 1939 42, while more common than a 1939 S/42, looks to be in excellent condition and you have Simpson's assurances that all internal numbers match. Regards, Norm P.S. Welcome to the forum! |
