A true 1925 dated Simson is a very rare variation with only approximately 24 known. I have serial number 378. I had another, serial 196 that had the police sear safety on it, but didn't feel it was correct.
I would say that the serial number of any correct 1925 should be below serial number 684. Also, Simson's can have a couple of different combination of acceptance marks on the right receiver, but all the police have the same combination, or at least all the ones I have observed.
