Rich,
I've "fixed" many Smiths over the years; they are not that complicated. If you take a little time and study the works you can figure it out. If you have specific questions/pictures, just email me and I'll try to help.

![]() It may have had a hot load blow a cylinder wall out. The bluing was sanded/buffed down on the top strap, and the bottom of the frame where the cylinder lock sticks up is indented slightly. ![]() It's a project gun, but not safe to shoot, as is. If it needs straightening, I don't have the jigs. I'm not out a lot if it has to be scrapped or broken up and sold for parts, but it's on my permit and has to be accounted for so I can have it removed. Too much time and parts money wasted on it already. ![]()

No, but his name pops up on a very regular basis and everybody seems to be very happy with his work, prices and turnaround time.
You could also contact S&W, they should be able to fix it. I asked them about setting the barrel gap and fixing the end shake on my K22 a while back, and IIRC they said that it would be $150. Of course, I found it better to spend the money on tools and do it myself, but it's still not too bad for having it fixed by the manufacturer. |
