Is it just me or do the acceptance stamps seem unusually large?

Not just you!

Suggested above that they are engraved/whatever replacements/re-dos. They are obviously not stamped!

I'm suspicious, nonetheless. The sheen it has is a result of media blasting, which shows in the pics. The area above the trigger guard shows absolutely no residual too marks, which ordinarily would be expected. The pics do not show it, but I'd wager the area inside the "ears" are smooth and fuzzy, too. Reminds me of a black/blue peach!
