Subsonic velocity required for effective sound suppression would likely not provide enough recoil to ensure a successful firing cycle in a Luger IMHO.

Suppressor Specific 124gr fired flawlessly in all my Lugers.

Also I have fired numerous 147gr & 158gr reliably though my lugers, all subsonic.
