In fact I don't really see the reason to stick a plaque like that, in any case congratulations on your first pistol and enjoy it.

I think for the price you got a really nice example of a Luger. Looks to be in excellent condition and while the plaque may not add value to the gun for a collector purist, I think it is a nice historical touch.

I don't see anything wrong with the price. I've seen plenty of worse guns go for more!
